On January the 20th we had our first A Space 2 Grow meeting. It was great to see how things are taking shape and Mike Marston from the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens came along and gave some really useful advice. We looked at our draft constitution which is maybe not the most exciting, but for me it meant we are a step closer to getting things up and running and is a real achievement. Thanks everyone.
Other news, on Tuesday Hannah Roberts from AROCHA came to visit the site to find out more a our project. AROCHA is a charity that works with churches to encourage them to engage in environmental issues and projects. There is definitely scope for a very positive link.
Tonight I visited a local residents group SPACE (St Peters Action & Community Enterprise) and shared the vision and plans for A Space 2 Grow. They hope to carry out a survey of local residents and will include a question related to our project.. I may have got roped into doing some surveys too!
Last but not least next meeting 10th Feb 6pm at Bedes Bakehouse
